Klippenkop Pinotage 2018

Pinotage is South Africa's very own grape and a must-try for anyone looking to expand their horizons. This grape is a genetic cross between picky Pinot Noir and prolific Cinsault, aka Hermitage. Created by scientist Abraham Perold in 1925 at Stellenbosch University, Pinotage was made by and for South Africa.

Pinotage is a grape variety which is almost unique to south Africa Klippenkop Pinotage is produced in a robust yet early drinking style. Best enjoyed at room temperature with all hearty red meat dishes or with cheese. A full-bodied red wine with concentrated dark fruit flavours and a hint of smoke.
